Idea Validation

Test demand through market evidence, commitments and repeated customer reactions

Validation starts by checking whether a recurring problem already produces spending, alternatives and active distribution, then asks for the smallest credible behavior the proposed solution can earn. Consumer apps can triangulate competitors, reviews and content demand before building, while a teachable B2B problem can route a useful lead magnet into an early-access signup. When a thin product is necessary, rapid launch and repeated customer reactions can sharpen the offer and sales language. None of these routes proves retention, so each must progress toward real use, payment and repeat behavior.

Start here

  1. B2C App Idea Validation — Use market, review, spending and distribution evidence for a consumer problem.
  2. Validating SaaS Demand with Lead Magnets — Use a useful playbook and minimal waitlist when the founder can already teach the B2B problem.
  3. Learning the Sales Message Through Rapid MVP Contact — Use an early transaction and repeated reactions to refine the offer.
  4. Rapid B2C App MVP — Move from pre-validation to observed install, use and payment behavior.

Gaps

  • Direct comparisons of email signup, deposit, paid ad and interview signals against later retained payment
  • Minimum sample and conversion thresholds for deciding whether a waitlist test passes
  • Validation routes for products whose value cannot be demonstrated or taught before a working prototype
  • Structured methods for turning customer reactions into falsifiable message changes rather than anecdotal copy edits
