Claude SEO
An open-source Claude Code plugin for repeatable technical, content and AI-search audits
What it is
Claude SEO is an MIT-licensed open-source Claude Code plugin for site and page audits. At the 2026-08-26 check, the repository's v2.2.5 release documents 25 SEO sub-skills, 18 specialist agents and 32 /seo commands spanning technical SEO, content quality, Schema.org, GEO, local and international SEO, backlinks and reporting. Eight optional MCP extensions can add live crawl, backlink, search and AI-visibility data.
How to apply
- Run
/seo audit <url>for a broad prioritized review, then use focused commands such as/seo technical,/seo content,/seo schemaor/seo geoto investigate one layer. - Use it as an execution aid for bot-readable page audits, while keeping the checklist and the tool's score separate from observed crawl, ranking and citation outcomes.
- Compare its reports against the measurement and evidence practices collected in the SEO hub rather than treating generated recommendations as verified results.
Limits
-
The documented capabilities, timing comparisons and case results are repository claims and were not independently tested.
-
It requires Claude Code; setup installs an isolated Python environment and Playwright Chromium, while several data integrations require separate credentials or extensions.
-
SEO rules, Google APIs, integrations and supported structured-data types can change after the 2026-08-26 check.
