Scrollcraft

A Claude Code skill for planning, building and visually checking scroll-driven websites

What it is

An MIT-licensed Claude Code plugin and skill for building scroll-driven websites from a visitor interview, brand assets and a defined emotional curve. Its engine supports scroll-linked media and layout states, while a browser harness inspects screenshots and keyframes.

Perspectives

Nate Herk (2026-08-22, X)

Nate Herk used Scrollcraft in Claude Code Desktop to redesign the AI Automation Society site in about 30 minutes, then corrected the hero, pacing, labels, links, copy and one animation through focused feedback. The skill raised the first draft's coherence but did not remove human review.

How to apply

  • Use it to execute Designing Scroll-Driven Websites when scroll should control the page's narrative rather than decorate a standard section stack.
  • It can work from existing assets or optionally call Kie.ai for generated images and video; keep brand rules and factual copy as reviewed inputs.
  • Pair its contact sheet and keyframe checks with human review of message, taste and accuracy; Claude Code is the host tool used in the source.

Limits

  • The repository requires Node 18+, a full ffmpeg build, playwright-core and Chrome; Kie.ai needs a separate API key only for generated assets.

  • The repository says it has only been run on Windows, although search paths exist for macOS and Linux.

  • Generated video has real cost, and current performance, accessibility and browser compatibility were not independently tested.
