Running One Prioritized SEO Action per Cycle
Measure the whole site, rank repair and creation together, execute one winner and score its result
Definition
A one-action SEO cycle measures the site, scores repair, correction, refresh, consolidation, pruning, creation and off-page work on one scale, executes only the highest-value candidate and records the outcome for the next run.

Run a whole-site census, combine Search Console data with technical health, claim accuracy, answer-engine visibility, outside-in demand and link condition, then rank every candidate rather than maintaining separate content and maintenance quotas. Execute one action per run—even if the winner is correcting a claim, repairing a redirect, refreshing a position-eight page or pruning a duplicate instead of publishing.
Score past actions against subsequent site numbers so future cycles adapt to what worked on that site. A valid run may select nothing when no candidate clears the bar; it must still measure, verify and register what happened. The Initial Commit SEO skill packages this process into 89 files and is intended to be run repeatedly.
How to apply
- Fits an established site with enough history for Google Search Console to rank outcomes; a new site may lack the feedback signal.
- Use Scoring SEO Edit Opportunities by Headroom for the narrower edit queue inside this cross-lane decision.
- Route new-page candidates to Building SEO Pages from Search and User Evidence and finished changes to Measuring SEO Content Changes Against a Baseline.
- Treat Initial Commit SEO as one implementation, not evidence that the operating model improves traffic.
Limits
- The post and attached product page are promotional material from the skill creator; no independent run history, scoring accuracy or traffic outcome is supplied.
- One shared score can hide incomparable uncertainty across technical repairs, content, citations and links unless every component exposes its evidence.
